Ralzen Labs LLC ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Macrite mobile application ("Application").
1. Information We Collect
A. Information You Provide to Us
- Personal Profile Data: During onboarding, you may provide your name, age, gender, weight, height, activity level, and nutritional goals.
- Dietary Preferences: We collect data on your dietary choices (e.g., vegan, vegetarian) and restricted ingredients to personalize your experience.
- Account Information (OAuth): If you create an account via Google or Apple, we collect your email address and full name. Apple users may receive a private relay email instead.
- Anonymous Access: If you use the app without an account, we do not collect any personally identifiable information (PII). We only use a unique, randomized identifier to maintain your local device data.
B. Health and Nutritional Data
As a nutrition companion app, we process information including:
- Meal Logs: Information about the food you consume, including calorie counts, macronutrients (protein, carbs, fat), and micronutrients.
- Weight Logs: Your weight entries over time to track progress.
- Food Images: Photos you take or upload for AI-powered nutritional analysis.
C. Automatically Processed Information
- Local Usage Data: We process information about how you interact with the app (e.g., streaks achieved, badges earned). Importantly, this data is stored strictly on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
- Usage Analytics: We collect anonymized information about how you use the Application via Firebase Analytics.
- Technical Stability Data: We collect limited technical information such as device type, operating system version, and crash reports via Sentry. This data does not directly identify you.
D. Device Permissions
These permissions are only used when you actively use the corresponding feature:
- Camera: Used to scan meals, nutrition labels, menus, pantry items, and barcodes.
- Photo Library: Used to import existing meal photos for analysis or save photos for your records.
- Microphone & Speech Recognition: Used only for voice logging. We do not listen to or record audio in the background.
E. No Advertising or Sale of Data
- We do not display third-party advertisements in the Application.
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or health data to third parties.
- We do not use your data for cross-app tracking, advertising profiling, or marketing attribution.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide Core Services: Calculate your nutritional needs, track your intake, and provide meal insights.
- Hybrid AI Analysis: We process food images using third-party AI models (including Google Gemini, OpenAI, and Anthropic) to provide nutritional estimations.
- Personalization: Tailor goal recommendations and meal suggestions to your profile.
- Subscription Management: Verify your Pro status and manage billing via RevenueCat and the App Store/Google Play Store.
- Support: Respond to your feedback and fix technical issues.
Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
For users in the EEA and UK, we process your data based on:
- Your Consent: When you create an account and opt-in to track your health data.
- Contractual Necessity: To provide the nutrition tracking and AI analysis features you request.
- Legitimate Interests: To maintain and improve the Application's stability and performance.
3. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services
We do not sell your personal or health data. We only share data with the following providers:
- AI Service Providers (Google, OpenAI, Anthropic): Food images and descriptions are sent for nutritional analysis. We do not send your name, email, or account identifiers to these providers.
- Firebase (Google): Used for user authentication, identity management, and usage analytics.
- RevenueCat: Processes subscription status and transaction metadata. RevenueCat does not have access to your credit card details.
- Sentry: Collects limited crash and performance data that does not directly identify you.
4. Data Storage and Security
- Local-Only Health Storage: All nutrition data and health logs are stored strictly on your device. We do not sync this data to the cloud.
- Identity Data: When you sign in, we store your identity information via Firebase to manage your account and subscription.
- Encryption: Data transmitted to service providers is protected using industry-standard SSL/TLS encryption.
- Financial Security: All payments are processed by Apple or Google. We never see or store your payment card information.
Data Retention
Your health data remains on your device for as long as the Application is installed. If you delete your account, your identity records are removed from our servers within 30 days.
International Data Transfers
Our service providers may process data in countries outside your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data during these transfers.
5. Your Rights and Data Deletion
- Local Data Management: Your nutrition data is on your device — you have direct control over it.
- Account Deletion: You can delete your account via the "Delete Account" option in Settings. This permanently removes your identity records from our servers and your local database.
- Uninstalling: Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all local data from your device.
Depending on your region, you may have additional rights to access, correct, or restrict the processing of your personal data.
6. Children's Privacy
Macrite does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal data, we will delete it immediately.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Application after changes constitutes acceptance.
